JANE MURPHY

Hiya! My name is Jane Murphy. I’m originally from Dublin, Ireland but have been living in Murcia for the last 12 years. I’m a total Murciana now. I graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama many moons ago and worked in London for almost a decade, as a stage actor mostly. I have played in amazing venues such as The Globe, The National and co starred with the late Sir Anthony Sher in the Westend.

I took a break from the business for almost 10 years to produce my greatest works of art…my kids. But during the pandemic I began dabbling back into this world and quickly found myself once more a jobbing actor.

There is nothing I don’t love about this art. I love the whole process, from the selftape to the set. I love learning, observing and robbing technique on each new job. I love trying to capture the essence of a character that is nothing like myself  and trying to make it as believable as possible. I love not knowing where this business will take me and who I will meet along the way.

It’s my passion and my joy.
